* Honored to support and guide parents of special needs children in divorce and coparenting transitions through my work at Special Family Transitions. * Mary Ann Hughes, MBA, mom of sons on the autism spectrum, now a leader in field of special needs divorce, started Special Family Transitions to help other parents navigate the overwhelm and complexities of divorce involving a child with a disability. As a Certified Special Needs Divorce Coach, Mediator, and Parenting Coordinator, Mary Ann’s mission is to help parents consider and advocate for the special needs of their children, while reducing the time, stress and expense involved in divorce and coparenting challenges. In addition to supporting parents through coaching, consulting, courses, and other services, she proudly shares her expertise on podcasts, publications, live & online events, and her Special Family Transitions online platforms. As Co-Director of the Special Needs Chapter of the National Association of Divorce Professionals, contributor and instructor for the CDC Certified Special Needs Coach program, and instructor for Manousso Family Mediation training, Board Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution Houston Chapter and LoneStar LEND Leadership in Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellow, Mary Ann is honored to support, educate and empower family members and professionals..
