For individuals who have experienced trauma, the emotional impact of the trauma can make it difficult to make wise decisions when you are dealing with transitions and negotiations in a divorce. Processing those traumas can reduce emotional reactivity, clarify your thoughts and make the path forward easier. Debra is a seasoned trauma therapist with knowledge and experience working with clients who have experienced early childhood trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault and other traumatic events. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, interventions that promote healing from trauma and abuse. Debra is also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She can assist individuals to navigate leaving a partner who is actively using substances, and support individuals who want to decrease or stop their use of substances. She works individually with adults and is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. She offers in person and virtual sessions.
